Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): Information Minister Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi congratulated the leadership, government and people of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the historic arrival of Hope Probe to Mars.
Such a pioneering step, unprecedented in the Arab and Islamic worlds, will consolidate the Emirati leadership in the Arab world in establishing a knowledge society and consolidate investment in space science and technology for sustainable development and the service of humanity, the minister said.
Al Romaihi emphasized the pride of Bahrain under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the Arab and Islamic nations of the outstanding scientific achievement that reflects the wisdom and confidence of the Emirati leadership and the ambition, scientific and knowledge potential and successes of young Bahraini citizens.
He commended the young Emiratis for making the Arab dream possible thanks to their aptitudes and team spirit under the follow-up of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Center and the supervision of the Emirates Space Agency.
The UAE, under the leadership of its President HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the support of Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, fully deserves to be richly congratulated on its scientific, developmental and civilizational achievements and on its contributions to consolidating peace and human fraternity.
The UAE should also be warmly applauded for the model it provides for international partnership in support of human competencies, infrastructure and sustainable development based on knowledge, innovation and modern technologies, he said.
The minister stressed how after a smooth seven-month cruise Probe Hope carries a message of hope and ambition to millions of Arab youth to have confidence in their abilities to overcome challenges and develop their scientific potential.
Al Romaihi expressed confidence that this Emirati achievement constitutes a qualitative addition to the efforts of the Bahrain National Authority for Space Sciences, the Arab Group for Space Cooperation, space agencies, technical and industrial institutions and Arab research, towards a bright future in which the Nation reinvigorates its cooperation and recovers its unity and glory in the field of astronomy and the development of human civilization.
