Hot Weather In KL Due To Less Clouds - Meteorological Dept
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 9 (Bernama) -- As Peninsula Malaysia enters the second
half of the 2011/2012 northeast monsoon season, it inevitably means less clouds
and more of the sun's rays, according to the Malaysian Meteorological
Department.
The heat from the sun relatively raised the temperature, hence the hot
weather currently experienced by the federal capital, a department spokesman
told Bernama here Sunday.
He said improved weather in the northern and eastern states of the peninsula
after heavy showers similarly affected Kuala Lumpur.
The hot spells were therefore, a normal phenomenon, as the northeast monsoon
tapered to an end in the middle of this month, which for Sarawak and Sabah would
be during the same period next month, he added.
According to the spokesman, the maximum temperature recorded in Kuala Lumpur
encompassing Petaling Jaya, Subang and the KL International Airport for seven
days until Saturday, was between 35.3 and 37.2 degree Celcius.
