Housing Minister to participate in UN-Habitat Assembly meeting

Nairobi, May 25 (BNA): Housing Minister Bassim bin Yaqoob Al Hamar will head Bahrain’s delegation to the first meeting of the UN-Habitat Assembly which will be held in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, from May 26 to 31, under the theme “Innovation for Better Quality of Life in Cities and Communities”. The Housing Minister will participate in the session’s opening, in the presence of Kenyan President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, Heads of the participating delegations and senior UN officials. He will also take part in sessions and functions related to the housing sector. He will deliver a speech highlighting the kingdom’s successful experience in the housing field and the achievements made over the past years, mainly with regard to implementing sustainable cities.
