Housing Minister receives Muharraq municipal councillors

Manama, Jan. 22 (BNA): Housing Minister, Bassim bin Yacoub Al-Hamar, received here today the Muharraq Municipal Council’s Chairman, Ghazi Al-Merbati, and members, and discussed with them joint cooperation. The minister commended the efforts exerted by the Muharraq Municipal Council members, and their keenness to contact ministries and government entities to enhance joint action and improve services across the Muharraq Governorate. He also praised the kingdom’s successful municipal experience, citing its achievements and contributions to the kingdom’s development march. They also discussed the latest developments of social housing, and the MInistry’s efforts to implement projects across the kingdom, in general, and Muharraq, in paprticular. The minister revealed the Housing Ministry’s preparations to distribute the ready units of the first phase of the East Hidd Town to benificiaries, noting that the electronic draw on the ready units will be held within the next few days. The Muharraq municipal councillors lauded the Housing Ministry’s efforts to address the housing issue and deliver housing services to the citizens, wishing it further success.
