HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister congratulates the newly elected President and Vice President of the FIA

Manama, Dec. 17 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today congratulated the newly elected President of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), Mohammed Ben Sulayem, and the Chairman of the Bahrain Motor Federation (BMF), HE Shaikh Abdulla bin Isa bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, on being elected Vice President of the FIA. His Royal Highness highlighted that the appointment of GCC officials to the positions of President and Vice President of the FIA affirms the region's status as home to the field of motorsports. His Royal Highness praised the efforts made by Mohammed Ben Sulayem and HE Shaikh Abdullah bin Isa to promote and develop motorsports at the regional and international levels, noting their experience in managing and organising international races. His Royal Highness wished them further success in promoting motorsports at an international level through their new positions.
