HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister meets with senior GCC officials

Manama, Nov. 20 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, today met with the Chairman of the King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Royal Highness Prince Turki AlFaisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, HE Dr Nayef Falah M. Al-Hajraf, the Minister of State for the United Arab Emirates, HE Khalifa Shaheen Almarar, and the Acting Chief of Kuwait’s National Security Apparatus, HE Sheikh Sabah Shamlan Al-Sabah, on the side-lines of the 2021 Manama Dialogue. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted that maintaining regional security and stability requires integrated coordination to promote common interests that support development and growth. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted that GCC unity provides security for the region, which aids development, adding that efforts will continue to be consolidated to achieve the desired goals according to the visions of their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the GCC countries. His Royal Highness welcomed the GCC officials to the Kingdom of Bahrain, noting that their participation in the Manama Dialogue and efforts to further strengthen development, security, and stability reflects the robust relations and historic ties between GCC countries. The latest regional and international developments and topics addressed by the Manama Dialogue were also discussed. For their part, Their Highnesses and Excellencies expressed their pride and appreciation to His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister for his commitment to consolidating GCC ties across various fields. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, HE Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and the Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
