HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister receives letter from President of the Republic of the Philippines

Manama, Dec. 31 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, today received a letter from the President of the Republic of the Philippines, HE Rodrigo Duterte. The letter was delivered during a meeting with the Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of the Philippines, Presidential Assistant on Foreign Affairs and Chief of Presidential Protocol, HE Robert Eric Borge, at Riffa Palace. The letter contained HE Duterte’s congratulations to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister on his appointment as Prime Minister, and noted his aspirations to further develop bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Republic of the Philippines. The letter also conveyed the President’s best wishes of success to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister and further progress and prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister highlighted the strength of bilateral cooperation that continues to advance across various sectors, benefiting both countries and their peoples. For his part, HE Borge expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and highlighted HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s continued commitment to further strengthening ties between both countries. HE Dr. Abdulatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, was also in attendance.
