HRH Crown Prince attends Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain award ceremony

Manama, Dec. 7 (BNA): Under the patronage of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, the closing ceremony of the Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain took place this evening in Bahrain Bay. Upon arrival, HRH the Crown Prince was welcomed by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, National Security Advisor, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, and a number of senior officials. HRH the Crown Prince highlighted Bahrain’s long-standing success in attracting and hosting set piece events within the Kingdom. HRH welcomed in particular the Kingdom’s role in facilitating youth and sporting events. HRH the Crown Prince noted HM the King’s support to the youth and sports sectors and the long list of citizen achievements in these fields. HRH emphasised that the successful hosting of the Iron Man Middle East Championship is testament to the remarkable potential of Bahraini youth and their unwavering commitment to excellence. The Crown Prince also stressed the importance of continuing to facilitate opportunities for citizens to demonstrate their creativity and innovation across a range of sectors. HRH the Crown Prince also commended the efforts of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa in developing the Kingdom’s youth and sports sectors, which has contributed significantly to the Kingdom's international sporting achievements. HRH the Crown Prince then awarded the winners in the men's and women's categories, among whom were Sameera Al Baitar and Mohammed Isa Abdulla, who won the women's and men's categories among the Bahrain participants.
