HRH Crown Prince attends opening ceremony for McLaren’s new factory in Rotherham

London, Nov. 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister today attended the official opening ceremony for McLaren’s new Composites Technology Centre in Rotherham, UK. The opening was held in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge, and Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge. The Composites Technology Centre will explore new ways to develop industrial carbon-fibre technologies. In a statement, HRH the Crown Prince congratulated McLaren on the opening of its new centre, saying that cutting-edge research plays a pivotal role in driving innovation within all economies. HRH the Crown Prince welcomed McLaren’s longstanding commitment to working with international partners to explore how the latest technologies can be diversified and utilised, noting that this is indicative of broader Bahrain-UK collaboration. HRH the Crown Prince went on to highlight that Bahrain’s economic priorities align directly with those of the UK, with Bahrain-UK trade relations continuing to grow from strength to strength. During the official opening ceremony, HRH the Crown Prince and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were given a tour of the manufacturing line and the centre’s main facilities.
