HRH Crown Prince of Bahrain congratulated by Interior Minister

Manama, Nov. 27 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, has received a congratulatory cable from Interior Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, on the success of the parliamentary and municipal elections 2018. The minister extended deepest congratulations to HRH the Crown Prince on the remarkable success of this year’s elections in which the voter turnout reached 67 %, the highest in the kingdom’s history.  The Interior Minister asserted that the landmark democratic achievement is one of the fruits of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s comprehensive Reform Project, and proves the extent pf the Bahraini citizens’ awareness, civilisation and keenness to exercise their constitutional right to choose their representatives in the Council of Representatives and municipal councils. This is a new step towards further consolidating the popular participation in building constitutional institutions that are entrusted with legislation and oversight, which would serve the kingdom’s development and progress, he said. The minister wished HRH the Crown Prince further success in serving the nation, under HM King Hamad’s leadership.
