HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister receives the outgoing Commander of the U.S. 5th Fleet

Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, today met with the outgoing Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command and US 5th Fleet, Vice Admiral Samuel Paparo, at Riffa Palace. His Royal Highness highlighted the depth of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America and the importance of further strengthening cooperation across various sectors, including military and defence cooperation. His Royal Highness noted the Vice Admiral’s efforts, during his tenure, in bolstering security ties, and wished him further success in his future role. Regional and International issues of common interest were also discussed. For his part, Vice Admiral Paparo expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with HRH the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, and noted the unwavering support he received during his tenure, in furthering Bahrain-US relations.
