HRH the Crown Prince hosts Iftar banquet for BDF officers

Manama, May 15 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, this evening held an Iftar banquet for a number of senior officers at the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) Officers’ Club. Upon arrival, HRH the Crown Prince was received by the BDF Commander-in-Chief, HE Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, the Minister of Defence Affairs, HE Lieutenant General Abdulla bin Hassan Al Noaimi , the BDF Chief of Staff, HE Lieutenant General Theyab bin Saqer Al Noaimi, and a number of senior BDF officers. HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the vital role played by BDF personnel in protecting Bahrain’s security and stability. HRH the Crown Prince commemorated the Kingdom’s fallen servicemen, outlining that their sacrifices will always be honoured with great pride. HRH the Crown Prince went on to highlight the BDF’s efficiency and combat readiness, supported by HM King Hamad, and its contribution to protecting regional security in partnership with Bahrain’s allies, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Armed Forces. HRH the Crown Prince exchanged best wishes with the BDF Commander in Chief and senior BDF officers on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa accompanied HRH the Crown Prince during the banquet.
