HRH the Crown Prince receives outgoing UK Ambassador to Bahrain

Manama, July 4 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, today met with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Kingdom of Bahrain, HE Simon Martin CMG, at Gudaibiya Palace to mark the end of the Ambassador’s service in the Kingdom. During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the historical and strategic ties between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, stressing the importance of continuing to expand cooperation in all fields. HRH the Crown Prince extended thanks and appreciation to Ambassador Martin for his efforts in enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries, and wished him every success in his future endeavors. The meeting also provided an opportunity to review regional and international issues of mutual interest. For his part, HE the Ambassador expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to meet with HRH the Crown Prince, expressing his appreciation for the support received during his tenure in Bahrain. HE the Ambassador also thanked HRH the Crown Prince for his support in further strengthening relations between Bahrain and the UK, wishing Bahrain further success and prosperity. The Minister of Finance and National Economy, His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also attended the meeting.
