HRH the Crown Prince visits TechnipFMC during official visit to the Italian Republic

Rome, Feb.4 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and First Deputy Prime Minister, today visited TechnipFMC, on the side-lines of His Royal Highness’ official visit to the Italian Republic. Upon arrival at TechnipFMC, HRH the Crown Prince and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by Douglas J. Pferdehirt, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TechnipFMC. During the visit, HRH the Crown Prince outlined Bahrain’s progress towards achieving its energy goals, recognising it as an essential component of the Kingdom’s long-term development plans, which are being led by HM King Hamad. In this regard, HRH the Crown Prince highlighted significant modernisation projects that are currently underway across Bahrain’s oil and gas sector, most notably Bahrain Petroleum Company’s (Bapco) modernisation programme (BMP), which is the largest project in Bahrain’s history. HRH the Crown Prince then noted that Bahrain continues to deliver sustainable growth by repositioning its economy as a smart-oil economy, emphasising that investing in technological innovation in the oil and gas industry broaden investment opportunities and strengthen the national economy. HRH the Crown Prince concluded by underlining that increasing collaboration in the oil and gas industry presents a unique opportunity to boost economic growth and further strengthen Bahraini-Italian cooperation. Later, HRH the Crown Prince was briefed on the TechnipFMC’s strategy and BMP’s progress before meeting ambitious Bahraini engineers training with Technip FMC.
