HRH Premier’ directives to follow up on BCCI’s visions hailed by business community

Manama, June 16 (BNA): The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) has praised the directives given by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa while chairing the regular weekly Cabinet session, attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier. During yesterday’s Cabinet session, HRH the Prime Minister directed to follow up on BCCI’s initiatives, visions and studies on ways to address the challenges faced by the business sector, and overcome the impacts of the novel coronavirus on the private sector. BCCI Chairman, Sameer Abdulla Nass, expressed the business and industrial community’s deepest gratitude and appreciation to HRH Premier for his sound directives to follow up on BCCI’s views on ways to overcome the impacts resulting from COVID-19 locally and globally. The Premier’s directives reflect his keenness to deepen the principle of partnership in the economic decision-making process in order to preserve the interests of the private sector, maintain its gains and remove the obstacles and problems facing it, Nass said. He stressed that BCCI will harness all its efforts and potentials to assist the business sector in the kingdom, and support the private sector companies and institutions so as to be able to overcome the effects of the coronavirus pandemic and the economic circumstances it has triggered. He valued highly HRH Premier’s swift response and personal follow-up on BCCI’s visions, which, he said, prove his close monitoring of everything aimed at contributing to the recovery of the national economy. BCCI chief emphasised that HRH Premier’s directives will strengthen and activate the partnership between the government and the private sector, which will lead to positive results in the coming period, especially given the fact that the private sector is the cornerstone of every economic effort, and that a solid private sector is essential for achieving the expected goals. Concluding his statement, BCCI chief renewed the business community’s full-fledged support for the procedures approved by HRH the Prime Minister to support the private sector and stimulate it so that it maintains its key role in supporting the national economy.
