HRH Premier congratulated by Interior Minister

Manama, Oct. 14 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulations from Interior Minister Lt. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa on Bahrain’s winning a seat at the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for the period 2019-202. He hailed the victory of Bahrain as member of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for the period 2019-2021, by 165 votes (86%), in the elections held at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City. He also lauded the landmark achievement, describing it as one of the dividends of the royal reform project and the government's keenness to follow it by fostering human rights and the state of law and institutions.
