Manama, Oct. 18 (BNA): HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received a cable of congratulation from Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi on Bahrain’s latest achievement in the field of education. On behalf of the Education Ministry’s staff, the Minister extended sincere congratulations on Bahrain’s achievement based on multiple international reports in the educational field thanks to HRH the Premier’s leadership and directives. The Minister said the latest report issued by the World Bank in October 2018 showed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has been ranked on top of Arab nations in the indicators of education and in the 47th internationally out of 157 countries, outdoing Iran, Turkey, Ukraine, Malaysia, Argentina, Brazil, and other countries. "The same report indicated the extent of development in the educational field, and that the Kingdom of Bahrain is the most successful Arab country in terms of investing and developing its human resources" the Minister said. He expressed optimism that Bahrain’s children would be more productive than their Arab peers when they will be engaged in the labour market. The Minister said the Boston Consultant Group, in its July 2018 report on levels of well-being around the world, said that Bahrain was ranked in the fourth position among the Middle East and North African countries with regards to Education Indicators, noting it was occupying the 12th position in 2011. The Minister pointed out the UN Development Programme (UNDP)’s report issued in September 2018, which classified the Kingdom of Bahrain among the countries with very high human development, ranking it 43 out of 189 countries and territories.
