HRH Premier hails BCCI vital role

Manama, Oct.9 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa hailed the agreement between the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism regarding the trade fees. HRH the Premier had issued and order postponing the implementation of the fees levied on commercial activities for two periods, each lasting six months. HRH the Premier commended the crucial role of the trading community in promoting commercial activities in Bahrain, urging the chamber to support small traders. He made the statement as he received, this morning at the Gudaibiya Palace the BCCI board members, led by chairman Sameer bin Abdulla Nass, who expressed thanks to HRH the Premier for his keenness on strengthening the private sector to play its role in supporting he national economy and spurring growth. They thanked HRH the Premier for his directives which paved the way for the agreement which was reached between the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism regarding the trade fees. HRH the Premier underlined the strategic partnership between the Government and the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) to revitalise the trade sector and fast-track economic development. He commended the long-standing vital role played by the chamber in supporting the national economy and spurring growth, reiterating the Government’s unwavering support to the private sector to back trade activities and overcome obstacles. HRH the Premier described the chamber as an essential partner, hailing its crucial role and dedicated contributions, down the generations, to strengthen the economy and bolster commerce. He underlined the Government’s firm keenness on supporting the small traders and investors to develop small and medium projects, being key pillars of the national development. He urged cooperation between all parties to preserve hard-won achievements and optimize gains, commending Bahraini citizens for their keenness on boosting productivity and serving the nation. The BCCI chairman and board members paid tribute to HRH the Premier, hailing his keenness on developing the trade sector, to overcome all obstacles, and supporting the private sector.
