HRH Premier hails longstanding Bahraini-British ties

Manama, Apr. 17(BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa deputized Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa and Southern Governor His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa to attend a reception hosted by British Ambassador Simon Martin marking the 93rd birthday of HM Queen Elizabeth II. The event which was held at the British Embassy’s headquarters was also attended by senior officials, members of Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Kingdom of Bahrain and invitees. Shaikh Khalifa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa and HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali-Al-Khalifa conveyed greetings and congratulations from HRH the Premier to HM Queen Elizabeth II, wishing her abundant health and happiness and the friendly UK people further progress and prosperity. They expressed Bahrain’s pride in long-standing historic relations, hailing steadily-growing relations in all fields for the sake of shared interests. British Ambassador Simon Martin expressed deepest thanks to HRH the Premier for his support and keen interest in developing the longstanding partnership between the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The ambassador commended strong bilateral relations which are marked by understanding, common values and mutual keenness on consolidating joint cooperation in all fields.
