HRH Premier hails solid ties with Thailand

Manama, Jan. 24 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has lauded the depth of the Bahraini-Thai relations of friendship and mutual understanding, stressing the two countries’ shared desire to bolster their ties in all fields for the best interests of their peoples.
The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, Thai Ambassador to Bahrain, Chayapan Bamrungphong, who introduced to him a delegation from the Thai Prince of Songkla University (PSU), led by its President, Chusak Limsakul.
HRH Premier hailed the advanced level of cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields, especially education through exchange of expertise and support of academic collaboration between educational institutions, stressing Bahrain’s constant keenness to activate agreements with Thailand to bring about more achievements that meet the needs of the two friendly people.
The Prime Minister explained that Bahrain has paved the way for pushing the efforts to improve the level of education in the kingdom forward, and encouraged investment in private education, out of its belief in its role as an effective partner in boosting the educational march and upgrading the level of human resources in the kingdom.
HRH Premier also lauded the prestigious status of the PSU University, being a deep-rooted Thai university that includes outstanding elite of scientists and academicians.
The Thai ambassador praised the crucial role played by HRH the Prime Minister to strengthen and bolster bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, PSU delegation lauded HRH Premier’s remarkable support to efforts to advance progress in the kingdom through his tangible interest in developing education.
The delegation recalled with appreciation granting HRH the Prime Minister the Honorary Doctorate in political sciences by PSU in 2009, being among the most important events in the university’s history.
Members of the delegation described HRH Premier as a noble leader, a man of peace and a politician who has played key international roles in developing friendship and peace relations between his countries and all countries, according to the principles of cooperation and peaceful co-existence among peoples of the world.
