HRH Premier issues Edicts 5 and 6/2019

Manama, Apr. 21 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister issued two edicts 5 and 6/2019. Edict 5/2019 renamed the National Committee to Combat Non-Contagious Chronic Diseases to become the National Committee to Combat (Non-Communicable) Chronic Diseases. Edict 6/2019 stipulated the restructuring of the National Committee to Combat (Non-Communicable) Chronic Diseases. Edict 6/2019: Article 1 stipulated the restructuring of the National Committee to Combat Non-Communicable Chronic Diseases presided over by the Minister of Health, with the following as members: 1-The Ministry of Health’s Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health. 2-Director of Public Health Directorate. 3-Director of Health Promotion. 4-Representative of BDF Medical Services. 5-Representative of King Hamad University Hospital. 6-Representative of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism. 7-Representative of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning. 8-Representative of the Ministry of Education. 9-Representative of the Ministry of Information Affairs. 10-Representative of the Supreme Council for Health. 11-Representative of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 12-Representative of Mohammed Bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa Specialist Cardiology Centre. 13-Representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. 14-Representative of Bahrain Diabetics Society. 15-Representative of anti-Smoking Society. 16-Representative of anti-Cancer Society. The duration of their membership will be three years effective from the date of implementation of this edict and renewable for similar period(s). The ministers have been tasked each according to their relevant domain to implement this edict effective from the day following the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
