HRH Premier to patronize 45th Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition

Manama, Feb. 17 (BNA): The Bahrain Annual Fine Arts Exhibition will kick off on Wednesday under the patronage of HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa at the Arena Tent, Ritz Carlton Hotel-Bahrain. The exhibition to shed light on the distinctive works of local artists and residents. Approximately 100 fine art artists of different artistic backgrounds would gather to show their styles and techniques. Distinguished works by leading artists in the field of fine arts will be displayed during this year’s version. The exhibition will also host works from two of the most prominent Arab exhibition houses, the Athr Gallery of Saudi Arabia and Agial Art Gallery of Lebanon. Also featuring contemporary art and works of video and multimedia by Arab artists from the Arabian Gulf, Syria, Egypt, Sudan and the Arab Maghreb. Al Riwaq Art Space and Albareh Art Gallery will also be present, as both have had a noticeable role in creating a distinctive generation of artists in the past years through hosting their personal shows, holding workshops and implementing projects of the exchange of expertise between Bahraini artists and their Arab and international counterparts. The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities said the annual event has been held under the patronage of HRH the Prime Minister since 1972, which is the biggest fine arts gathering in Bahrain and has gravitated leading artists and young talents alike.
