HRH Premier praises role played by media. press personnel

Manama, Nov. 4 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has praised the role played by the press and media personnel in enlightening society, raising the national and public issues, as well as encouraging the citizens to contribute to the progress march currently witnessed by the kingdom in various fields. "What distinguishes journalists and columnists in Bahrain is that they reflect a lot of reality by highlighting various issues that inform officials about the concerns and remarks of the public that need to be addressed. They are our partners in the national action of serving Bahrain and its people," HRH Premier said.  "We are proud that we are a society whose members, by their awareness and culture, have become able to keep abreast of the latest developments in science, and we have to live up to the aspirations we wish for future Bahrain," the Prime Minister added. HRH Premier made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, senior state officials, intellectuals, press and media personnel and scores of citizens, with whom he reviewed national issues, and the latest local and international developments. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of doubling efforts in order to keep pace with the current challenges and build a better future for the kingdom that would strengthen its leadership in various fields.  HRH Premier lauded the spirit of dedication and achievement enjoyed by the people of Bahrain, which, he said, is a source of confidence and optimism that the kingdom’s development and progress will continue. HRH the Prime Minister pointed out that the current phase requires everyone to be responsible and spare no effort in order to put Bahrain on the track of the future that would ensure it ever-lasting leadership and progress. HRH Premier stressed that the priority of government action is to translate its plans and programmes into a reality that meets the needs of the citizens. The Prime Minister reiterated the Kingdom's firm and steadfast supportive stance towards Saudi Arabia in facing all issues raised in various media outlets, emphasising the depth of the brotherly relations between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, and the steady progress of cooperation between them. HRH Premier affirmed that the supportive stances of countries and peoples towards Saudi Arabia are a compelling proof of its distinguished status in hearts of everyone, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect sisterly Saudi Arabia.
