HRH Premier praises solid Bahraini-Egyptian relations

Manama, Nov. 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that Egypt’s stances are a source of pride because they are always meant to strengthen Arab cohesion and safeguard the region’s security and stability.   HRH Premier affirmed that Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdelfattah el-Sisi, is making remarkable development strides that are based on solid foundations of security and stability, and have contributed to enhancing its regional and international role.   The Premier also welcomed the holding of the Bahraini-Egyptian Joint Committee meeting and the agreements and memoranda of understanding signed during it, which, he said, will contribute to opening up new horizons of joint cooperation and bolstering the deep-rooted bilateral relations.   The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, the Egyptian Foreign Affairs Minister, Sameh Shoukry, who is currently on a visit to Bahrain to chair his country’s delegation during the High Bahraini-Egyptian Joint Committee meeting.   Minister Shoukry conveyed to HRH the Prime Minister greetings from the Egyptian President, el-Sisi, and counterpart Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, as well as their wishes of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain and its people.   HRH Premier requested the Egyptian Foreign Minister to convey his greetings to President el-Sisi and Prime Minister Dr. Madbouly, and wishes of further progress and prosperity to Egypt and its brotherly people.   HRH Premier welcomed the Egyptian Foreign Minister’s visit to Bahrain, highlighting its importance in pushing the deep-rooted bilateral fraternal relations and cooperation further, and in opening up new horizons that would meet the common aspirations and reflect the long-standing love between the two nations and their peoples.   HRH the Prime Minister affirmed the solid brotherly relations between the two countries’ leaderships and peoples, and the fruitful cooperation between the two nations, highlighting the similar stances and visions of the two countries vis-à-vis many regional and global issues.   HRH Premier lauded the “pivotal” role played by Egypt, under the leadership of President el-Sisi, at the regional and international arenas, praising its supportive stances towards its brotherly Arab countries under various circumstances.   "Egypt is capable of protecting itself and safeguarding the security and stability of its brotherly countries. It has endured a lot and continues to do so in order not to allow the fragmentation of the Arab Nation and ensure its safety and the stability of its countries. It will continue to be the buttress that preserves the security and stability of the Arab Nation and preserve its potentials,” the Premier said.   The Egyptian Foreign Affairs Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him, which, he said, reflects the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries and their peoples, lauding the Prime Minister’s efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, as well as sound visions regarding various Arab political and economic issues.   The minister emphasised Egypt’s support for all efforts exerted by Bahrain to safeguard its security and stability.   He also extended an invitation to HRH the Prime Minister to visit Egypt.   He affirmed that the specificity of the Egyptian-Bahraini relations reflects the depth of the existing relations between the two countries’ leaderships and peoples, highlighting the distinguished status enjoyed by Bahrain in the hearts of the Egyptian citizens.   He hailed the interest and care enjoyed by the Egyptian expatriate community in Bahrain by the government, led by HRH the Prime Minister.
