HRH Premier receives Al-Jenoubiya Times first edition

Manama, Sep. 4 (BNA): HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today at the Gudaibiya Palace received HH Southern Governor Shaikh Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa who presented HRH the Premier the first edition of Al-Jenoubiya Times, which is a weekly online newspaper aims to reinforce communication with the citizens and to introduce the Governorate’s programmes and activities.  HRH the Premier said the government’s priority is to develop and implement projects to improve quantity and quality of services provided to citizens. He noted his directives to officials to intensify meetings with citizens to listen and accommodate their needs and demands. HRH the Premier attached importance to working closely together to serve the homeland and uplift the status of citizens to contribute to the ongoing development and prosperity process.  HRH the Premier praised the Southern Governorate’s initiative to launch Al-Jenoubiya Times to promote principles of community and partnership and to introduce the Governorate’s achievements and services provided to citizens. He expressed admiration of the electronic newspaper concept and strategy, wishing it durable success.  HRH the Premier emphasized the key role of media in supporting the development march seen by Bahrain, welcoming the Southern Governor’s adoption of development projects contributed to upgrading the Southern Governorate.  HH the Southern Governor hailed HRH the Premier’s development efforts and his interest in following up the Governorate’s projects.  HH the Governor said HRH the Premier’s directives inspire the Governorate’s action programme, and his encouragement is a motive to bring more achievements in the interest of citizens. He said launching the electronic newspaper accentuates the role of media in strengthening social communication, as always emphasized by HRH Premier as a vital tool to promote the development march seen by various sectors.
