HRH Premier receives Hussainya Processions Authority

Manama, Nov. 6 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received here today the Chairman of the Hussainya Processions Authority, Ahmed Mohsen bin Salloum. HRH Premier praised the good efforts exerted by the chairman and members of the Hussainya Processions Authority during religious events. He asserted that Bahrain is a distinguished role model for social harmony and the one-family spirit prevailing among all social segments, noting that the progress boom attained by the nation is the fruitful outcome of the collective efforts of all Bahrainis, whether in villages or cities. HRH the Prime Minister voiced pride in the citizens' keenness on protecting and optimising the national gains, lauding the importance of the houses of worship and their distinguished social and national status. HRH Premier underscored the tremendous efforts exerted by all ministries to streamline all procedures related to religious occasions, given their crucial role in fostering the values of love and cooperation. The Prime Minister praised the cooperation of community centres (Maatams) and Husseiniyas with government bodies in organising the Husseiniya processions, which, he said, has contributed to highlighting the noble values during the Ashoora commemoration season. The Hussainya Processions Authority extended thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his annual directives to ministries and government bodies to contribute to the events to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Al-Hussain through providing the necessary services, and removing all obstacles facing them. The Hussainya Processions Authority said that HRH Premier's meeting with its chairman and members is a living proof of his keenness on getting reassured about all matters related to the annual Ashoora Commemoration season, stressing that the gesture testifies to the Premier's strong belief in pluralism, tolerance and religious co-existence among all social segments which was stipulated by the Constitution of Bahrain, within the National Project spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Chairman and members of the Hussainya Processions Authority underlined their full-fledged support to the steps taken by HM the King and his government towards commitment to national cohesion at all levels. The panel backed the government's adoption of directives to promote the values of tolerance and rejection of discord among the members of the same society, as well as its instruction to ministries and government departments to deliver services that interest the citizens, in accordance with the systems and laws in force. This, the Hussainya Processions Authority stressed, has consolidated the kingdom's international standing as a country known for its diversity which is based on harmony and love.
