HRH Premier receives message from Thai counterpart

Manama, Mar. 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received a message from his Thai counterpart, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, in which he expressed support for the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the Kingdom to combat Coronavirus (COVID-19). The Thai Prime Minister highlighted his friendly country’s readiness to cooperate with Bahrain in the fields of combating and eliminating global pandemics, expressing his great confidence in the kingdom’s ability to overcome the current crisis and succeed in taking measures that support the global efforts to prevent the spread of COVID-19. General Prayut Chan-o-cha called on the International Community to step up collective efforts in order to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus, stressing that the concerted efforts of the International Community and cooperation among countries will enable global communities to overcome the unprecedented epidemic challenge as soon as possible. He also expressed the solidarity of the Thai government and people with all the virus-affected countries and peoples, expressing hope that the global ordeal will be overcome quickly and that normal life will be restored. He also lauded the strength and solidity of the friendly Bahraini-Thai relations. General Prayut Chan-o-cha wished HRH Premier abundant health, happiness and every success in serving the nation, as well as further progress and prosperity to the Bahraini people.
