HRH Premier receives Philippine President's special envoy

Manama, Nov. 10 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received, at his Palace in Riffa today, the Special Envoy of the Philippines President to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Countries, Dr. Amable Aguiluz, who is currently on a visit to Bahrain. Dr. Amable Aguiluz conveyed to HRH the Prime Minister greetings from the Philippines President, Rodrigo Duterte, and his wishes of abundant health and happiness to him, and of further progress and prosperity to Bahrain and its people. HRH Premier lauded the advanced levels reached by the Bahraini-Philippines relations in various fields, thus embodying the depth of the two countries’ cooperation, friendship, as well as mutual understanding and respect. The Prime Minister stressed that the relations between the two countries enjoy many distinctive features, affirming that they are a distinguished role model for bilateral relations. HRH Premier lauded the contributions of the Filipino expatriate community to the kingdom’s development march, affirming that its members enjoy all kinds of support and appreciation at all levels. Dr. Amable Aguiluz expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his interest in strengthening relations between the two friendly countries. He asserted that his country values highly HRH Premier’s efforts to enhance bilateral cooperation, which, he said, reflects the depth of bilateral relations. He praised the care and support enjoyed by the Filipino expatriate community in Bahrain at the official and popular levels.
