HRH Premier receives report on future aspirations’ workshops

Manama, Aug. 8 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa gave directives to include 29 policies and 106 initiatives distributed in six main themes in the 2019-2022 Government Action Plan (GAP). The policies and initiatives were proposed during the workshops to determine future aspirations in the next government blueprint. While receiving a report on the workshops, HRH Premier lauded their outcomes and commended the efforts exerted to anticipate and determine the future aspirations of the government and citizens and translate them into themes and feasible initiatives and policies to ensure the continuity of the development and progress march, in line with the aspirations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. HRH Premier lauded the pivotal role played by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, to follow up on the workshops. HRH the Prime Minister extended thanks to the deputy premiers for their efforts, expressing appreciation of the great great role played by Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, to collect the outcomes of the workshops and classify them ahead of including them in the next GAP. HRH Premier was speaking while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, who handed over to him a report on the workshops to determine future aspirations in the Government Action Plan 2019-2022. Held upon directives of HRH the Crown Prince during the Government Forum, and chaired by deputy premiers, the workshops resulted in many policies and initiatives that covered the six themes of GAP, namely economy, infrastructure, government performance, environment and services. The Prime Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to the Deputy Premier for the report, calling for continuous concerted efforts by ministries and government departments to fulfill the future aspirations and achieve more quality gains, in line with HM the King’s assertion that the citizens are the cornerstone of the development process and its ultimate goal, within the framework of the comprehensive development march spearheaded by HM King Hamad. HRH Premier commended the efforts exerted by all ministries and government departments to implement GAP 2015-208. In this regard, the Prime Minister hailed the pivotal role played by HRH the Crown Prince in following up on the progress and sustainability of the achievements attained under the previous GAP, lauding his keenness to build on the implementation mechanisms of GAP 2015-2018 to develop future aspirations for next GAP. The Prime Minister lauded Deputy Premier HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak’s efforts to follow up on the outcomes of the workshops which witnessed highly responsible discussions of policies and initiatives, and resulted in proposals and projects that ensure high levels of efficiency and effectiveness in performance. HRH Premier expressed hope that the efforts exerted during the workshops would optimise the gains of the nation and the citizens, valuing highly the existing fruitful cooperation between the Executive and the Legislature. Deputy Premier, HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak, expressed thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his sound directives to support government action and enhance its productivity. He pointed out that the achievements attained during the current phase are the fruitful outcome of the Government Forum 2017, held under the patronage of HRH Premier, and at the initiative of HRH the Crown Prince.
