HRH Premier receives Royal Family members, MPs

Manama, Mar. 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has asserted that under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s leadership, all Bahrainis are working together to build the nation, and have the same stance towards national issues. "We will not allow anyone to dissuade us from continuing the development march through occupying us by marginal issues," he said, stressing that those attempts will strengthen the government’s resolve and determination to exert more efforts for the sake of the homeland. "We –leadership and people- are strong by our cohesion, and we are all determined to serve our nation and progress it in various field. The citizens’ awareness, loyalty and rallying behind the leadership motivate us to be dedicated in serving them, within an atmosphere of security and stability," he added.  The Prime Minister also valued highly and expressed pride in the role played by Saudi Arabia, describing it as a strategic depth for Bahrain, through its regionally and globally appreciated contributions to security and stability. HRH Premier made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, Royal Family members, MPs, senior state officials, businessmen, intellectuals and social media activists. The Prime Minister affirmed that the government’s solid and advanced cooperation with the Council of Representatives will continue in order to achieve national interests and optimise national accomplishments, noting that in light of the existing democratic practices and cooperation among constitutional branches, the national decision-making process has become multi-lateral, which, he said, distinguishes the national action process in the kingdom. "What harms us most is when we see those who are working against our wishes for our country and its people through fueling divisions in our cohesive Bahraini society. Praise be to Allah the Almighty that thanks to the consciousness of our people, many attempts have failed, and we are confident that our people will foil any future attempt because of their national awareness. Whenever we are united and cohesive, all attempts to sow divide among our people will fail," he said. Moving to the elections of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), HRH Premier hailed the effective participation in the vote, congratulated the winners, and wished the best of luck for those who were not elected. In this regard, HRH Premier praised the role played by BCCI in the kingdom’s trade and economic activities. In another context, HRH the Prime Minister praised the effective role played by Bahraini women, along with men, in various fields that serve progress and development in the kingdom, highlighting the government’s keenness on paving the way for Bahraini women to serve their nation, and they have proved their constructive role in society.  HRH Premier affirmed his follow-up on what is being posted on social media networks concerning social issues, noting that such networks have become means of communication and media platforms that monitor and analyse reality, and provide solutions, and therefore are as important and influential as traditional mass media. "We take into account and discuss about the issues you raise. You are our partners in everything that serves the citizens and fulfills their aspirations," he said. HRH Premier praised the Bahraini people's sense of responsibility and awareness, describing the citizens as the safety valve that preserves society and enhances its stability and cohesion. He called for promoting communication among members of society and to preserve the Bahraini people’s customs and traditions. The Prime Minister also called on the political, intellectual, cultural and youth elites to play their role and responsibilities in spreading mature awareness and thought to make social media networks a productive environment that contributes to the development and progress of the society.  HRH Premier also stressed that social media users should respect the interests of the nation and the values and morals of its society in everything they write or materials they post.
