HRH Premier receives Sudanese National Assembly Speaker

Manama, Sep. 25 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa hailed every effort aimed at achieving rapprochement between the Arab countries and boosting pan-Arab cooperation. He stressed the role of the legislative institutions in this respect, urging the Arab countries to stand united in international gatherings to overcome challenges in this crucial phase. HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today Sudanese National Assembly Speaker Professor Ibrahim Ahmed Omer, in the presence of Representatives Council Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla. HRH the Prime Minister stressed the necessity for Arab states to rally ranks, pointing out internal conflicts in some countries. He underlined the role of the legislative institutions, which represent the people, in fostering integration and confronting biased voices carrying out policies to drive wedges and pave the way for anarchy in some Arab countries. HRH the Premier underlined Bahrain's keenness to further cement relations of cooperation with Sudan and all Arab countries, stressing strong Bahraini-Sudanese fraternal ties. He lauded the stances of Sudan under the presidency of Omar Al Beshir towards Bahrain which underscore strong bilateral relations and Sudan's support to all efforts aimed at maintaining regional security and stability. HRH the Prime Minister reviewed with the Sudanese National Assembly Speaker regional and international developments, stressing the need for new formulae of pan-Arab cooperation that match with the size of dangers threatening security and stability in the region. The Sudanese National Assembly Speaker conveyed to HRH the Prime Minister the greetings of the Sudanese President and First Vice President General Bekri Saleh as well as their best wishes to him of abundant good health and happiness and more progress and prosperity to Bahrain. He also thanked HRH the Premier for the good welcome, commending his keenness to bolster bilateral cooperation at all levels.
