HRH Premier receives Sultan Qaboos University Assistant President

Manama, Sept. 17 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa received at Gudaibiya Palace today Assistant President of Sultan Qaboos University for International Cooperation Dr. Muna bint Fahad bin Mahmoud Al Said. The meeting was attended by Honorary President of the Good Word Society Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa. Dr. Muna is on a visit to Bahrain to be honoured among the winners of the 8th edition of Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Voluntary Work Award in tribute for her outstanding contribution in the charity and humanitarian work field. HRH the Premier hailed the visit, wishing Oman and its people more growth and prosperity. He praised keenness of the Omani people on developing their country, stressing deep-rooted historic fraternal relations between the Bahraini and Omani peoples. He also expressed happiness at honouring Dr. Muna as part of the distinguished elite of Arab personalities with clear contribution to serving their communities in the field of voluntary and social work. He pointed out the noble message of voluntary work and its effect on boosting the spirit of solidarity and Islamic values. Dr. Muna expressed heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his kind initiative which mirrors deep-rooted fraternal relations and keenness to further bolster bilateral cooperation. She lauded his continuous support to charity and voluntary work, commending Bahrain's comprehensive development and the great importance accorded to voluntary work at the official and popular level. She said her visit to Bahrain was an opportunity to get informed about the kingdom's achievements, describing distinguished fraternal bilateral relations as a model to emulate.
