HRH Premier thanks citizens for their patriotic stances

Manama, Nov. 25 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has asserted that every phase in Bahrain’s national march is laden with achievements and gains, adding that thanks to the determination and resolve of the leadership and the people, the future is promising and a landmark achievements lie ahead.
HRH the Prime Minister stressed that cooperation has always characterised the government’s relations with the Legislative Branch, noting that the Executive-Legislature partnership will certainly deepen with the new Council of Representatives as its members enjoy the confidence of the government and the citizens who elected them to be their representatives in the "House of the People" and by an unprecedented popular participation.
HRH Premier called for the need to always be united, and to avoid division through removing its causes, including the misuse of social media networks.
The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, senior officials, intellectuals, cultural figures, journalist, media personnel and scores of citizens, with whom he reviewed local and international issues.
HRH Premier praised the democratic atmosphere in which the first round of the parliamentary and municipal elections took place, hailing the Bahraini people’s great keenness to vote, which, he said, reflects the extent of the Bahraini citizens’ awareness and loyalty to the homeland.
"I would like to say thank you to the people of Bahrain from the bottom of my heart for their stances and support for their country under all circumstances. Indeed, Bahrainis have always done the same, and we hope that every new phase is better than the previous one. We hope that the next phase will be richer, brighter and safer for Bahrain and its people," he said.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that the new MPs will succeed in serving their country and in living up to the expectations of the citizens who elected them to achieve what they hope for on all levels.
HRH Premier affirmed that the government has been and will remain keen to cooperate with the Legislative Branch in everything that would serve the development efforts and benefit the citizens.
The Prime Minister stressed that everyone should continue working dedicatedly and with a positive spirit for the best interests of Bahrain, emphasising the importance of unity in facing everything aimed at disturbing society.
"Bahrain is the land of good and love. We are one people, and I pray to Allah the Almighty to guide all of us on the right path to enhance Bahrain’s progress in various fields," he added.
HRH Premier hailed the Bahraini youth’s unwavering keenness to preserve their country’s security and stability, highlighting the government’s constant desire to provide opportunities for Bahraini male and female citizens to contribute effectively to building a better present and future for the nation.
The Prime Minister stressed the need to unify stances in order to carry on the kingdom’s development, renewing his warning against the danger of the misuse of social media networks and its role in disseminating fake and misleading news and information.
"We have to be united in the face of that danger, and we should to repel it," he said.
While tackling external issues, HRH the Prime Minister welcomed the visit of the Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Premier and Defence Minister, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al-Saud, to the Kingdom.
"We are pleased to welcome His Royal Highness among his family and brothers, and we stress the importance of the visit in strengthening the brotherly relations and love between the two countries," the Prime Minister said.
HRH Premier affirmed that sisterly Saudi Arabia, with its position and influence in the regional and international arenas, will remain a basic pillar for achieving security and stability in the region, and the strong supporter of its brotherly countries under all circumstances.
