HRH Premier's support to Arab workers praised

Manama, Mar. 11 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has received a cable of thanks from the Secretary-General of the International Confederation of Arab Trade Unions (ICATU), Ghassan Ghosn. Ghassan Ghosn extended, on behalf of the participants in the ICATU Secretariat-General's Meeting, hosted by the Kingdom recently under the patronage of the Bahrain Free Labour Unions Federation (Al-Hurr), deepest thanks and appreciation to HRH the Prime Minister for his support to Bahrain's hosting of the pan-Arab meeting, as well as to the Arab trade union work movement. The kingdom's hosting of the meeting, which attracted participants from various Arab countries, confirms the security and stability it is enjoying under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, he said. ICATU chief lauded the role played by HRH the Prime Minister in supporting and developing the tools of joint Arab action. He also extended heartfelt thanks and gratitude to HRH Premier and the Bahraini people for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to the participating delegations. Ghosn lauded the crucial role played by the Prime Minister in strengthening trade union work in Bahrain and across Arab countries in order to enable it to assume its pivotal role in sustainable development, praising the Premier's constant calls to unify Arab stances towards various Arab issues to improve the situation in the Arab Nation and achieve the aspirations of its peoples for more progress and prosperity amid the current situation and challenges that pose a threat to the region's countries' security, stability and sovereignty. He prayed to Allah Almighty to guide the Prime Minister on the right path for the best interests of Arab workers.
