HRH Princess Sabeeka congratulated on Arab honour

Cairo, Feb. 7 (BNA): Bahraini Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa congratulated Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) on being honoured by the Arab League in recognition of her unrelenting efforts and contribution to empowering Arab women, in general, and Bahraini women, in particular. He pointed out that granting HRH Princess Sabeeka the Arab Woman Medal is a tribute for her outstanding national and international achievements. The honour, he added, also reflects HRH Princess Sabeeka's advanced development vision to achieve sustainable development within the framework of implementing the national plan for the empowerment of Bahraini women blessed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in 2013. The Bahraini ambassador lauded launching HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa's Prize for Women Empowerment at the international level in collaboration with the United Nations and her constant support to Arab women to improve their welfare. Shaikh Rashid underlined that the pioneering achievements and the qualitative contributions realized under the presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa of the SCW have won Arab and International respect and appreciation. They also demonstrated the advancement of women thanks to the comprehensive and evolving reform project of His Majesty the King.
