HRH Princess Sabeeka congratulated by Health Minister

Manama, Feb. 7 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and Supreme Council for Women (SCW) President, has been congratulated by the Health Minister, Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh on being conferred the Arab Woman Medal by the Arab League's in recognition of her dedicated efforts to advance the status of Arab women, in general, and Bahraini women, in particular. The minister highlighted the key role played by HRH Princess Sabeeka in the strides and milestone achievements of Bahraini women, citing her tremendous efforts to ensure the sustainability of Bahraini women's progress, increase their contributions to the kingdom's development march and support all projects and programmes to integrate women's needs in the comprehensive development process so as achieve equal opportunities and ensure equal partnership between men and women. Al-Saleh affirmed the tremendous efforts exerted by the SCW, being one of the milestones of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's Reform Project, to highlight Bahraini women's progress and pave the way for them to contribute to the educational, health, voluntary, sports, media, military and legal fields, as well as their participation in the elections. She added that Bahraini women's access to leadership and decision-making posts in the legislative, executive and judicial branches is a source of pride for Bahrain, and reflects the progress of Arab women, in general. The minister lauded the tireless efforts exerted by HRH Princess Sabeeka to serve the Kingdom. She also commended the efforts of all the affiliates of the SCW for the effective role they are playing.
