HRH Princess Sabeeka congratulated by Shaikh Khalid

Manama, Feb. 8 (BNA): His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Athletics Association, extended his heartiest congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), on the occasion of HRH The Princess being honoured with the Arab Woman Medal at 36th work session of Arab Women Committee. His Highness also congratulated Her Royal Highness on the declaration of Manama as the Capital of Arab Woman for 2017, which was achieved thanks to the outstanding efforts by Her Royal Highness in promoting the role of women, who are active partners alongside their male brothers, in the development of all sectors and the construction of Arab societies. His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa said: "It is a privilege for HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa to be granted the Arab Woman Medal, which is an embodiment of her great role in supporting Arab women, supporting their struggles and pushing towards making them an integral part in the development process in all Arab societies." His Highness added: "We are very delighted with Manama being declared as a Capital for Arab Woman, which reflects on the efforts of Her Royal highness, Wife of the King, in empowering women towards contributing to the development of society." His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, pointed out that Bahraini women lead in excellence and innovations in various sectors of the Kingdom, because of their high capabilities which have contributed to gaining many management and leadership positions that further led to many achievements that helped the comprehensive development of the country. His Highness expressed his joy at the completion of the 36th works session of the Arab Women Committee and the active participation of Arab women in this session, which clearly reflects in the empowering of Arab women.
