HRH Princess Sabeeka praises Bahrain's arts school

Manama, Feb. 5 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council of Women (SCW), inaugurated today the art show of Mariam Fakhro in the Arts Gallery of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA). On this occasion, HRH Princess Sabeeka praised the advanced Bahraini arts level, lauding the efforts of Mariam Fakhro in preparation of her artworks deriving their themes from nature's assets that reflect the expertise of the Bahraini artist to transform them into vibrant creative artworks. Her Royal Highness praised the artist’s traditional and contemporary art in producing valuable art that bears the humanitarian message that expresses the vision of the Bahraini artist emanating from the genuine Bahraini culture and civilization, affirming that her works feature high taste and professionalism and constitute a quantum addition which cannot be overlooked within the national formative movement and echoes her success at every function. BACA President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa expressed gratitude and appreciation to HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council of Women (SCW) for Her Royal Highness’s support and patronage of major cultural events in the Kingdom of Bahrain particularly that shed light on women’s creativity in the fields of culture and arts, affirming that such support confirms Her Royal Highness’s unlimited keenness that constitute the incentive to always present the best. Shaikh Mai expressed pride in the local formative artistic circle featuring positive activities by the Bahraini artists including Mariam Fakhro who contributed throughout her artistic career in offering the outstanding role model of the Bahraini artist, adding that these exhibitions seek to enrich the Kingdom’s artistic scene and familiarize the public with latest productions of Bahraini artists. Mariam Fakhro has contributed in numerous local and international exhibitions showcasing Bahrain’s history and promoting its culture and civilization through the visual arts that reflect the depth and hue of Bahrain’s rich cultural heritage and civilisation.
