HRH Princess Sabeeka receives Speaker

Manama, Jan. 14 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), received today at SCW headquarters Representatives Council Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal. She lauded the achievements of Bahraini women, hailing success of Fawzia Zainal in becoming Speaker of the Representatives Council. She also commended the unflinching support of HM the King which further enhances contribution of Bahraini women in decision making.   HRH Princess Sabeeka described Fawzia Zainal’s accomplishment as a milestone in the nation’s blessed march which will further promote the achievements brought about by Bahraini women in the prosperous era of HM the King. She also congratulated the Representatives Council Speaker on recently winning the title of the “Best Political Achievement for Arab Women in 2018”, pointing out the great national responsibility assumed by the Speaker of the Representatives Council. She wished the members of the Representatives Council every success in fulfilling their duties to serve the public interest.   The Representatives Council Speaker hailed the democratic march in Bahrain which reflects the civilisational image of the Bahraini people. She also praised the democratic reform project of HM the King, stressing the big role of SCW, under the presidency of HRH Princess Sabeeka, in promoting advancement of Bahraini women and further engaging them in the national development process. She pointed out that the next phase will witness more cooperation and coordination between the Representatives Council and SCW to build on previous gains and deal with various challenges.
