HRH Princess Sabeeka receives Trust Bahrain chairperson, members

Manama, Feb. 17 (BNA): Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of HM the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), received Bahrain Trust Foundation’s Board of Trustees Chairperson, Dr. Fatima Al-Balooshi, and members, at the SCW’s headquarters in Riffa. Dr. Al-Balooshi gave a presentation about Trust Bahrain Foundation’s mission, goals and programmes, as well as current and future projects aimed at supporting the needs of the local and international communities in fields related to economic empowerment, education and handicraft development for the sake of improving the conditions of needy segments and achieving their self-reliance. HRH Princess Sabeeka lauded the Foundation’s mission and goals aiming to promote the voluntary work culture, which is both a human value, and an indispensable national duty that should be revived constantly, being a distinctive feature of communities that have developed on the bases of social solidarity and cooperation. HRH Princess Sabeeka lauded the government’s policies in this regard by taking advantage of the experiences that volunteers have gained during their volunteer work career and considering them among the experiences that support their CVs when applying for jobs, which, she said, indicates Bahrain's interest in voluntary work and its encouragement as one of the main tributaries of social development.
