Hundreds of houses, damaged by storm in Nakhon Phanom

NAKHON PHANOM, March 15 (TNA) – Summer storms and hail left hundreds of houses damaged in the northeastern province of Nakhon Phanom. Na Khae district and That Phanom district were hit by storm twice this month. About 100 houses were destroyed and the cost of damage is estimated at about two million baht. Earlier, about 300 houses in Phon Sawan district were smashed by torrential rain and strong wind, causing damage of about five million baht. Trees were uprooted and power poles were felled. Officials are conducting survey to evaluate the damage. 201st Military Circle deployed soldiers to help local villagers repair their homes. (TNA)
