ICC holds rare belongings exhibition

Manama, Mar. 10 (BNA): Isa Cultural Center (ICC) Executive Director and Vice Chairman of its Board of Trustees Dr. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa inaugurated an exhibition of historical manuscripts and rare titles of different genres that belonged to the late Amin Mohammad Al Amer donated by his family to the center.
The exhibition features 15 rare books and four valuable and historical manuscripts going back to as early as 1553.
“This is a very important interaction between the national library and the society of Bahrain,” Shaikh Khalid said.
Amin Mohammed Al Amer was born in 1950, Manama. He grew up to be a passionate reader and book collector of various genres and subjects such as sociology, religion, literature and many more. The Center will benefit greatly from them in expanding its library.
ICC said that it encourages all those interested to contribute in enriching the center with their valuable holdings, which ensures the deepening of historical research.
The exhibition will be held in the lobby of the National Library at ICC until April 2.
