ICRC Director General To Visit Iran

Tehran, June 26, IRNA -- The International Committee of the Red Cross, Director-General. Yves Daccord, will travel Iran on Tuesday to get first hand account on achievements of the Iranian Red Crescent Society. While in Iran, Daccord will hold meetings with the IRCS officials to discuss areas for mutual cooperation, according to Director General of the Public Relations Department at the IRCS, Pouya Hajian. He told IRNA on Monday that Daccord will sign a memorandum of understanding with Iran on expansion of mutual cooperation. He added that Daccord is also scheduled to inspect several IRCS affiliated centers in Iran./end
