Imam Khomeini’s Death Anniversary To Be Observed In Pakistan

Islamabad, May 30, IRNA – Majlis Wehdat Muslemeen has announced to observe a week to commemorate the 23rd death anniversary of founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini adding that Imam Khomeini. Talking to IRNA on Tuesday Allama Ameen Shaheedi, Deputy Secretary General (MWM) said that from June 2nd a series of seminars would be held across Pakistan with respect to the death anniversary Imam Khomeini. He said Seminars would be held in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Hyderabad, Jhelum and different parts of Sindh province. Allama Ameen Shaheedi, said that the programs would be very helpful for the people belonging to all walks of life to better understand the personality of late Imam Khomeini and his message for the solidarity and unity of Ummah. He said that the leaders of the MWM would participate in the seminars. Meanwhile chief of Shia Ulema Council Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi in a message on the 23rd death anniversary of Imam Khomeini has said that Imam Khomeini was a thinker and great revolutionary leader. Naqvi said Imam Khomeini led the Muslims in difficult times. He said that late Imam had lived a simple live according to the principles of Islam. “We can achieve success in our lives buy following the footsteps of Imam Khomeini,” he viewed./end
