Inaugural ASEAN Conference On Healthy Ageing To Be Held On Oct 10-12 In Malaysia's Kuching

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 8 (Bernama) -- The first ASEAN Conference on Healthy Ageing is slated to be held in Kuching of east Malaysian state Sarawak this upcoming Oct 10 to 12. Themed ‘Challenges, Successes and the Journey Ahead’, the conference is aimed at improving policies and the quality of life of the ageing population in the region. Organised by the Malaysian Healthy Ageing Society (MHAS) in collaboration with the Sarawak Convention Bureau, the conference will see an international line-up of experts speaking and discussing best practices in the area of healthy ageing as well as practical management of ageing. MHAS, in a statement on Monday night, said the three-day conference would include plenaries, workshops, forums and symposiums. -- BERNAMA
