India Temporarily Shifts Its Ukraine Embassy To Poland

NEW DELHI, March 14 (Bernama) -- India has temporarily shifted its embassy in Ukraine to Poland due to the ongoing war. "In view of the rapidly deteriorating security situation in Ukraine, including attacks in the western parts of the country, it has been decided that the Indian Embassy in Ukraine will be temporarily relocated in Poland," the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement on Sunday. "The situation will be reassessed in the light of further developments," it added. India has operated dozens of special flights from Poland and other neighbouring countries in recent weeks to fly home thousands of Indian nationals who were stranded due to the Russia-Ukraine war. More than 21,000 Indians, mostly students, lived in Ukraine before the conflict escalated last month. -- BERNAMA
