Indian Navy's MIG-29K aircraft crashes off Goa

By Shakir Husain NEW DELHI, Oct 12 (Bernama) -- A MIG-29K aircraft of the Indian Navy crashed off Goa on Wednesday. The aircraft was on a routine sortie over the sea when it developed a technical malfunction while returning to its base, the navy said in a statement. The pilot ejected safely and was recovered in a search and rescue operation. The pilot was reported to be in a stable condition. An inquiry has been ordered to find the cause of the incident, the navy said. It was the fourth accident involving the MiG-29K since 2019, according to an NDTV online report. -- BERNAMA
