India's Envoy To Palestine Found Dead

NEW DELHI, March 7 (Bernama) -- India's envoy to Palestine, Mukul Arya, was found dead at his workplace on Sunday, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported. Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in a tweet expressed shock over the diplomat's passing away. "He was a bright and talented officer with so much before him. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones," Jaishankar said. The cause of his death was not immediately known. Arya joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2008 and earlier served at the Permanent Delegation of India to UNESCO in Paris and at the embassies in Kabul and Moscow, according to his profile on the website of the Representative Office of India in Ramallah. -- BERNAMA
