Individual who trespassed on diplomatic premises arrested

London: July 27 (BNA): An individual was arrested yesterday for trespass on diplomatic premises as a result of an unauthorised intrusion on the roof of the embassy. Police were called by the Embassy and subsequently arrested the individual who was taken to Westminster Police Station. This individual was arrested and convicted of the same offence in 2012. The individual trespassed on to the roof of the Embassy in support of known members of terrorist organizations recognized in the United Kingdom. The Individual was threatening to jump off the roof and Embassy staff stepped in to restrain him for his own safety until the police had arrived. Diplomatic premises are protected under both international and United Kingdom law, and this individual’s actions clearly go far beyond any legitimate peaceful protest.
