Indonesian Media Delegation Visits Malaysia

By Mohd Iswandi Kasan Anuar JAKARTA, June 29 (Bernama) -- A delegation of 18 people, comprising members of the Indonesian media, left for Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday afternoon from the Soekarno-Hatta International Airport here to participate in the ‘Lawatan Setia Kawan Media Indonesia ke Malaysia'. The visit, which will take place till July 1, was organised by the Malaysian-Indonesian Journalists' Association (ISWAMI) Malaysia, and the delegation was accompanied by the First Secretary of the Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta, Ammil Afiq Jasimi. The delegation included editors, journalists and correspondents from ANTARA News, CNN Indonesia, Liputan6.com, Jakarta Post and Merdeka Online, among others. In KUALA LUMPUR, secretary of ISWAMI Malaysia Mohd Shukri Ishak said the programme is a continuation of Indonesia's Chief Editors Programme (Program Pemimpin Media Utama Indonesia) at the National Journalist Day (Hawana) 2022 in Malaysia’s Melaka state last May 29. The visit was aimed at providing a platform for strategic cooperation between the Malaysian and Indonesian media besides strengthening relations and understanding in addressing issues of mutual interest, he said. On Wednesday, the delegation will be taken to visit several locations around Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya including the Wetland Park, Putrajaya Agriculture Heritage Park and around the Government Complex of Precinct 2, Precinct 3 and Perdana Putra Building. On the third day, the delegation will visit Indonesian workers’ accommodation in the manufacturing sector in Shah Alam and Petaling Jaya, as well as paying a visit to Les' Copaque Production, the animation production company that produces the popular 3D animated TV series ‘Upin & Ipin'.
